#1417 Polymer Clay Mixed Media Embellishments Ilysa Ginsburg and Kira Slye
THIS IS AN ONGOING VIDEO WORKSHOP. YOU CAN START AT ANY TIME AND BE SURE TO NOT MISS A THING!
Polymer Clay is a man-made clay that cures in a home oven at low temperatures. It is non-toxic and does not require any special tools or large investment to begin. You can create beautiful pieces of artwork with many of the tools you will find in your kitchen. However- tools you use for clay work should be dedicated to clay and not returned to food use! You don’t want clay in your spaghetti.
You can mold, sculpt, carve, marble, stamp, emboss, sew, paint, ink, glitter, glue, powder and leaf any brand of polymer clay. You can use it to create your own molds for paper and resin. You can create antiqued, faux, metal, stone, wood, fabric, and other looks with clay because it can be made to mimic almost any surface. Anything that can be baked at 275F can be embedded into the clay, such as crayon bits, sand, spices, crystals, beads, pearls, glass and more.
In this course, you will learn how to use polymer clay to create embellishments that will enhance all your mixed-media projects. You are limited only by your imagination. This course includes two finished projects: a Mini-journal and a Muse Shrine canvas.
